The Ocean Life
Our high-end expedition sailboat
The Ocean Life is much more than just an expedition sailboat – it is our floating home base for our nature observations, our adventures and our time together at sea.
Built for the great expanses, designed for safety and comfort: a Garcia Exploration 52, designed according to the ideas of legendary circumnavigator Jimmy Cornell, built in 2018 at the traditional Garcia Yachting shipyard in Cherbourg, France.
This sustainable sailing boat is made of seawater-resistant aluminum, the reinforced bow and the watertight separate sections make it virtually unsinkable – perfect for demanding expeditions in remote areas. At sea, it is our home, retreat and meeting place, but also a viewing platform for exciting nature observations. From the deck, a boundless view opens up to the horizon. Science and wilderness meet on the Ocean Life – and you are right in the middle of it, as part of our crew. Here you can feel the true Ocean Life spirit!
More than a boat
Plenty of room for adventure
When you step on board the Ocean Life, you immediately sense that this is no ordinary sailing boat. In the light-flooded deck saloon with a 270° view, people cook, talk shop, research and laugh. The cabins are bright, functional and cozy at the same time – with high-quality mattresses, slatted frames and clever storage space solutions.
It combines precision craftsmanship, well thought-out design and maritime comfort, providing warmth and security even in Arctic waters. There is also a spacious wet room in the foredeck.
