Our mission

This is the Ocean Life Experience

The Ocean Life Experience is more than just a sailing trip—it is our shared mission to rediscover the ocean and combine its fascination with a sense of responsibility. Together, we’ll sail to places where the wind, waves, and wilderness remain untouched—to marvel, to learn, and to experience the sea with all our senses.

We believe that real change begins with respect. That’s why we turn every expedition into more than just an adventure—together, we become ambassadors for ocean conservation. Our Ocean Life cruises combine expedition sailing with mindfulness and nature observation—while also making a valuable contribution to research.
In cooperation with the University of Innsbruck and the GEOMAR Helmholtz Center for Ocean Research Kiel, our observations and data are incorporated into scientific projects – for example on marine biodiversity, climate change and species distribution in the North Atlantic.

Our vision

Always looking ahead

Our vision is to circumnavigate the American continent on our expedition sailboat – and thus climb the Mount Everest of the sailing world.

From the legendary, rugged Northwest Passage – which barely a hundred people have sailed through – down to the endless coasts of Patagonia. Along the way there are places that sailors dream of: Vancouver, California, Easter Island, the Galápagos.

And maybe one day our path will even take us to the Antarctica. Because sailing to the white continent is part of our vision – making the seemingly impossible possible. This vision should unite us all. Together, we are building towards this great goal – step by step, sailing trip by sailing trip. And perhaps you will soon be part of the crew that makes history.

The Ocean Life Experience

What you can expect

Experience the world’s oceans up close – with professional skippers, biologists and a crew who share the same passion as you.

  • Expedition sailing at the highest level: Together with experienced professional skippers, you go on a sailing trip – on a modern, safe, high-end expedition sailing boat, built for real adventurers.

  • Nature observation up close: Accompanied by biologist Clemens, you will get to know life in and around the sea in a completely new way – with binoculars, identification literature, scripts and exciting short lectures, but always lively and up close.

  • Nature at eye level: In small crews you sail carefully through remote areas where whales, dolphins and seabirds are at home and every experience is shared.

  • Culinary highlights: Whether cooking with the skipper or dining together ashore: enjoyment and fellowship are part of the experience with us.

  • Fascination in pictures: We capture all the magical moments: from the first whale to the last sunset. You can also book professional photos on request – for memories that last.

Science & Sustainability

Sailing with consideration and responsibility

We sail with attitude – and with responsibility. Every expedition follows clear sustainability principles that we live by together as a crew:

Responsible travel without leaving a trace

We sail respectfully, resource-efficiently and quietly - in harmony with wind, waves and nature.

Working together for knowledge and understanding

In cooperation with universities and research institutions, we contribute to data collection and thus to the protection of the oceans.

Commitment to marine conservation

We support marine conservation initiatives and set an example - because those who know the sea want to protect it.
